Twenty-eight apps. One tab, and one way of working.

BIMIO is not a plug-in with a hundred buttons. It is 28 focused apps plus a free toolbox, all under a single Revit tab, grouped by the stage of the job they belong to — and every one of them written to the same rules about your model.

Why one suite

Twelve plug-ins, twelve idea of what a dialog looks like.

A Revit with a dozen add-ins is a Revit where nothing agrees: every tool invents its own window, its own idea of a warning, its own place to keep what it learned. You end up doing the integration yourself, in your head, every day.

The suite

What is on the tab, and why it is where it is.

Panels follow the job: set the project up, work on families, move data, check quality, prepare views and sheets — and one panel of small tools that comes free.

The tab

Grouped by the stage of the work, not by who wrote it.

Setup is what you do to a project once. Family Editor is where families are made and inspected. Data moves information in and out. QA / QC is everything that checks. Views and Sheets prepare what gets issued. A star marks a panel's flagship — the app most people open first. Not every panel has one, and QA / QC has two.

New to Revit: a ribbon you can read without a manual.

Free with any of them

The Misc panel comes with whatever you buy.

Buy one app and the whole free tier arrives with it: the toolbox of 28 small tools, Lens, the Hub, and the three that quietly change how Revit behaves. It is not a trial and it does not expire.

Modifies model

Fence a run once and choose any combination of outputs: an ordered dimension chain, by-category tags on everything crossing the corridor, spot elevations / coordinates plus room tags, family instances distributed every X mm (or N spread evenly), and perpendicular sections named in sequence. Dimensions, tags

HOW IT WORKS
1Tick the outputs (dimensions / tags / spots / family / sections)
2Fence the run with a corridor box, or pick two points
3All chosen passes are applied along that line in one transaction
↵ Enter to launch
29 tools · ↑↓ navigate · ↵ launch · esc close · amber = modifies model · green = read-only
One inspector

Click an element; every app that knows it says so.

Lens is a dockable panel with a card per app. Click a wall and Canon says which rules it breaks, Chronicle says who last touched it, Clash says what it hits, Assay says what is wrong with it. This is what one suite buys you that twelve plug-ins cannot.

New to Revit: one place to ask, instead of twelve windows to open.

Four Revits

One installer, from Revit 2024 to 2027.

The same package installs into every Revit version you have, each with the build compiled for it — .NET Framework for 2024, .NET 8 for 2025, .NET 10 for 2026 and 2027. Your settings, your rules and your project store follow you across versions.

One installer, one ribbon tab, one version number. Each year gets the build compiled against its own API, and every folder is self-contained — deploying is copying a folder.
It never syncs for you

Twenty-five apps, and not one of them touches the central model.

An add-in that synchronises on your behalf is an add-in that can put half-finished work in front of the whole team. So no app in BIMIO does it — not as a setting you can switch on, not as a convenience at the end of a batch. There is not a single call to Revit's synchronise API anywhere in the suite. The one place the name appears in working code is a BLOCKLIST: Sugar keeps a list of the dialog ids that ARE the synchronisation, so it can recognise the moment and stay out of the way. Taking ownership counts as writing to the central too, so it happens only where taking ownership IS the tool — Worksets, below — where you ask for it, one gesture at a time, and never as a side effect of something else. And unattended work opens the file DETACHED from its central, which does not merely decline to sync: it makes syncing impossible.

New to Revit: a suite you can leave running without wondering what it told the team.

Own what nobody else should touch
Take ownership of worksets, model-group definitions and design options in one gesture. While you own them, other users cannot edit those elements without asking you.
Take ownership
When it goes wrong

One file to send. Not twenty-one folders to collect.

Every app in the suite writes to the same log: one file per day, with the app as a column, so filtering to one is a search and collecting all of them is nothing at all. It opens with the session's version, the Revit year and the document, and each line carries its thread — which matters more than it sounds, because only what runs on the UI thread can freeze Revit, and a freeze leaves a scope that was entered and never left. That is a signature you can search for. Two things are worth saying plainly: nothing is ever deleted, only archived by month; and the file names your models, your paths and your Windows username, so it is yours to share, not telemetry that leaves on its own.

New to Revit: a bug report that is one file, and a diagnosis that does not need you to reproduce it.

Start with one app. The tab fills itself in.

Every licence brings the free Misc panel with it, and every app you add joins the same tab, the same inspector and the same project store.
